Ongoing Training

Ongoing - SOMB trainings for stakeholders The Office of Sex Offender Management at the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice is available to provide a variety of trainings for stakeholders that are in need of training. Click for a list of trainings provided and how to access those trainings.

Ongoing - Ending Violence Against Women Project A Multi-disciplinary Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Training Program. The EVAW Project conducts trainings for persons working with domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking cases, including: law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, victim advocates, social workers, probation officers, and all other professionals and interested community members. Ongoing - County Sheriff's of Colorado/Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police are introducing a new crime scene series for patrol officers and experienced investigators in the NE region of Colorado. For more information, click here.

Ongoing - On-Line Training Institute (OLTI), developed by End Violence Against Women (EVAW) International, brings state-of-the art training to anyone who is interested, on the topic of criminal justice response to sexual assault. This On-Line Training Institute provides the opportunity for interested professionals to expand their knowledge of cutting-edge developments in the criminal justice and community response to sexual assault, with particular emphasis on those crimes committed by someone who is known to the victim (i.e. non-strangers). Local (Colorado) Training

June 11-13, 2012 - Colorado Domestic and Sexual Violence Conference The goals of this conference are to unite agencies and individuals working to end domestic and sexual violence, to provide educational opportunities to deepen the understanding of domestic and sexual violence, and to facilitate social change. The Annual Conference is a place to share, discuss, and explore the connections and creative solutions essential in efforts to end violence. Advocates and survivors of sexual violence are encouraged to submit proposals. Submit your proposal by 5:00 p.m. February 13, 2012.
