Call for Presenters Forms:

25th ANNUAL COVA CONFERENCE
October 27-30, 2013    •    Keystone, Colorado
Sponsored by the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance

CALL FOR PRESENTERS
          COVA is pleased to announce a call for presenters for the 25th Annual Conference to be held October 27-30, 2013.  Proposals are sought for 90-minute workshop presentations during breakout sessions each day of the conference.  Topics may address issues in any of the 12 program tracks listed on the reverse side.  Presenters will receive complimentary Conference registration. 

            Parties interested in presenting should complete and return the Call for Presenters form along with the required attachments.  The deadline for submission is May 24, 2013.  Information provided will be used by the Conference Program Committee to identify potential conference presenters.  Submission does not guarantee selection as a presenter, but is rather a method of notifying the committee of your interest in presenting at the COVA Conference. 

            The Program Committee requests that all presentations address the provision of services to diverse victim populations.  Examples may include but are not limited to: ethnicity, gender, physical and/or mental differences, culture, religion, language, and sexual orientation.  The Program Committee also requests that all presentations address topics from a rural perspective when applicable.

Please include your name and Call for Presenter in the subject line. Make sure all attachments are saved with your name.

Submission Information
Please download and fill out the information on the form (click here) and submit with the following:

REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS:
     A.    One paragraph summary of each presenter's background, expertise and experience as a trainer/presenter.
     B.    Summary description of the presentation suitable for use in the Conference Program (not to
             exceed one complete paragraph) – WORD DOCUMENT ONLY

NOTE:  IF YOU KNOW OF ANY INTERESTED PRESENTERS, PLEASE REFER THEM TO THE COVA WEB SITE.

COVA Conference Lodging Information:

Lodging is handled by the Keystone Resort and registrants are responsible for reserving and paying for their lodging.
To make reservations please call 800-258-0437.  Make sure that you tell them you are part of the COVA Conference.

Scholarship Information:

COVA is proud to offer scholarships to those individuals who need assistance attending the conference.  Scholarships are made possible through P.O.S.T. (Police Officers Standard and Training), as well as through the silent auction funds that are raised. Scholarship applicants must apply through the online registration system and select SCHOLARSHIP under options. You will be notified in September as to if you received the scholarship. Online registration will be available in June.

Silent Auction Information:

It is never too early to donate to COVA's silent auction!  Did you know that all silent auction proceeds go towards scholarships for the following year.  Make a difference and donate today!
