Resources — We strive to provide the best and most current information for our members through our website and are always available to speak with members over the phone or in person. You can find the Online Victims’ Services Directory, current Job Announcements, “Alphabet Soup”, upcoming Membership Trainings and Events, and much more at www.coloradocrimevictims.org. Professional Networking Opportunities — Whether meeting with colleagues from around the Region at Regional meetings and trainings, or meeting with folks from around the state at the Annual Conference, COVA membership provides the opportunity to network with other agencies, organizations, and individuals to enhance skills and expand knowledge of victim services.

Voluntary Victim Advocate Certification — In an era of greater accountability, COVA offers the opportunity for Voluntary Victim Advocate Certification, which documents an advocate’s training and work experience in victim services and includes a Code of Ethics. 

Educational Opportunities — In addition to a discounted rate for the Annual Conference, COVA offers many trainings that can be tailored to our member’s specific needs.  Also, many trainings and events are listed and updated on the website.



COVA offers three types of memberships.  All are valid for one year from the month in which the membership is paid.

Individual ($50/annually) - Members receive the COVA Newsletter, reduced registration at the annual COVA Conference, and one vote during COVA elections.  Individual members are also invited to participate in regional trainings
Senior/Student ($25/annually) - Membership is available to seniors (over 55) and students enrolled in a college or university.  Senior/Student members receive the same benefits as the Individual members.
Volunteer ($25/annually) - Membership is available to individuals who volunteer for a victim services agency/organization.  Volunteer members receive the same benefits as the Individual members.
Agency/Organization ($150/annually) - Members receive the same benefits as Individual members for up to 3 persons  Agency/Organization memberships also have access to COVA trainings at no cost.
