For the 2008 Spring/Summer Workshop Schedule, click here. Ongoing - Ending Violence Against Women Project A Multi-disciplinary Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Training Program. The EVAW Project conducts trainings for persons working with domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking cases, including: law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, victim advocates, social workers, probation officers, and all other professionals and interested community members. This On-Line Training Institute provides the opportunity for interested professionals to expand their knowledge of cutting-edge developments in the criminal justice and community response to sexual assault, with particular emphasis on those crimes committed by someone who is known to the victim (i.e. non-strangers). May 6 - June 10, 2008 - Breaking the Silence: Understanding the Dynamics of Family Violence This six-week domestic violence education, prevention, and support course is open to adults who wish to learn more about breaking the cycle of violence. The course will take place from 6:30-8pm at Cornerstone Community Church of Castle Rock, 809-A Park Street (on the corner of Wolfensberger Rd. and Park Street in the McDonalds Plaza). May 10, 2008 - Introductory Workshop This workshop is designed for victims of childhood abuse who have begun their psychological healing and seek to address their spiritual wounds. It is also invaluable to foster and adoptive parents, as well as mental health professionals, clergy, pastoral care professionals, family, and friends who walk the healing journey with abuse survivors and their families. The workshop fee is $125 per person; Survivors and Adoptive Parents - $100; Repeat attendees - $60. Workshop Registration begins at 8:45am and the workshop goes from 9am-5pm.
