 Domestic Violence Agency Victim Advocate Aurora Center for Treatment, Inc. Aurora, Colorado

Job Description: Part-Time Victim Advocate for a Domestic Violence Offender Treatment Agency. Hours will range from 5 to 8 hours per week. Responsibilities include: introductory calls and letters, monthly updates and reports, duty to warn calls and providing resources to those identified as victims of our clients. There will also be communication with community victim advocates, maintenance of contact database and attendance of State-required continuing education for agency advocates. Candidate must be comfortable providing services for both male and female victims. Communication with counselors regarding victim concerns will occur on a weekly basis and attendance at staff meeting on Wednesdays from 2-4PM is necessary on a quarterly  basis. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills (written, verbal, etc.), clear and concise reporting and the ability to work with diverse populations and professionals in an objective manner. Trained Advocate familiar with MTT requirements pursuant to the DV standards of September 1, 2010 is preferred.
