Robert Fallbeck

Robert brings 25 years of organizational leadership to COVA. He began his career in healthcare-related nonprofit work, then moved to the corporate sector, where he started by updating a few brochures and finished as the head of four divisions of an international engineering firm.  From 2017-2024, Robert was the Executive Director of the Crawford Child Advocacy Center in Fort Collins. He joined COVA in January of 2025. Robert holds a bachelor's degree from South Dakota Mines and an MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver.

Leah Parker

Leah Parker (she/her) is the Director of Professional Services at the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA). In this role, she oversees the Training Program, Internship Program, and the COVA Annual Conference. Leah has been with COVA since 2016, where her work has focused primarily on coordinating the organization’s annual conference as well as donor and membership outreach. 

Molly Stevens

Molly Stevens

Molly has spent the past decade working alongside survivors of human trafficking in both domestic and international settings. Prior to completing her graduate studies, she worked in Central America and Asia, supporting survivors of both sex and labor trafficking. Molly holds a Master’s degree in International Psychology with a concentration in trauma and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with plans to specialize in Neuropsychology.

Prior to joining COVA, Molly served as a Subject Matter Expert and Sexual Assault Specialist supporting survivors within the military and held leadership roles in youth residential treatment and adolescent behavioral health settings.

Molly currently serves as the Key Support Liaison for the 153rd Airlift Wing, is an appointed member of the Colorado Human Trafficking Council, and sits on the Advisory Board for the Denver Anti-Trafficking Alliance.

Courtney Sutton

Courtney Sutton

Courtney received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin. After graduating, she served the community of El Paso County at a local anti-domestic violence and sexual violence advocacy agency. Currently, she is the Public Policy Director for COVA focusing on uplifting victim voices and advocating on behalf of victims and survivors. Courtney served on the Judicial Training Task Force. She is currently serving on the Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline, Judicial Education Domestic Relations Subcommittee, and the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board. She is a passionate advocate for survivors, equity, and social justice.

Janet Stansberry Drake, JD

Janet Stansberry Drake is Deputy Attorney General in the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, Criminal Justice Section. She received her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1996.  After 10 years as a trial attorney in private practice, Deputy Drake became a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Special Prosecutions Unit at the Colorado Attorney General’s office.  As an attorney in the Special Prosecutions Unit, Deputy Drake investigated and prosecuted organized and complex, multi-jurisdictional crimes. She prosecuted a diverse caseload that included human trafficking, homicides, drug trafficking, motor vehicle theft, mortgage fraud, trademark infringement and identity theft.

In 2019, Deputy Drake was promoted to lead the Criminal Justice Section. In that position, she manages the Special Prosecutions Unit, the Financial Fraud Unit, and Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.).  Deputy Drake also engages in policy work and collaborates with criminal justice stakeholders around the state. Additionally, Deputy Drake continues to contribute to significant investigations and litigation handled by the Colorado Attorney General’s office. Deputy Drake is victim-centered in her approach to criminal justice.  She was a volunteer victim advocate from 1988 to 1991 and joined the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA) Board of Directors and the COVA Public Policy Committee in 2019. Deputy Drake is also committed to advancing professionalism and leadership development. She is a past president of the Denver Bar Association, and the Colorado Women’s Bar Association. She is a past chair of the Colorado Human Trafficking Council.

Allison Boyd

Allison Boyd is the Director of the Victim Witness Assistance Unit at the 1st Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Colorado. She has provided services to crime victims at the DA’s Office since 1995. Allison first started assisting crime victims in 1991 as a volunteer counselor for a nonprofit community sexual assault crisis center in Boulder, CO, and served for 3 years on the agency’s advisory council. She is the Administrator to the Board for the Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement Fund in the 1st JD. Allison spent many years serving as an appointed victim representative member of the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) which creates and implements state standards for the supervision and management of adult sex offenders and juveniles who have committed sexual offenses. She currently co-chairs the Victim Advocacy Committee for the SOMB.

Hon. Theresa “Traci” Slade

The Honorable Theresa “Traci” Slade is a District Court Judge for the 18th Judicial District currently assigned to the domestic division. Judge Slade earned her Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University and went to law school at the University of Denver Strum College of Law.  She began her career as a deputy district attorney for the 18th judicial district. Following her time as a DA, she built a private practice that focused on criminal and juvenile defense and representing parents in dependency and neglect proceedings. She also served for many years as a guardian ad litem for children in both delinquency and dependency and neglect cases.

Chief Joel White

Joel White is the Division Chief in the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Joel White serves as the Patrol Division Chief for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, overseeing all uniformed patrol operations, traffic enforcement, and emergency response. With a career spanning multiple divisions, he has led teams in Investigations, Major Crimes, Special Victims, and Tactical Operations, always prioritizing victim advocacy and public safety.

A former SWAT and Bomb Squad Commander, Chief White brings expertise in critical incident management, high-risk operations, and explosive ordnance disposal. He has served with FBI and DEA task forces, tackling major criminal enterprises. Dedicated to victim services, he has worked to enhance advocacy programs, survivor support, and investigative resources. Chief White remains committed to building strong community relationships and ensuring deputies are well-equipped to serve Douglas County.
